Getting your bags at Atlanta International Airport is easy. Many passengers pass through ATL each day, making it the busiest airport in the world. Once your flight lands, just follow the large signs that indicate “Baggage Claim or Arrivals”. There are many signs and staff available to assist you at the airport & assist you find your bags. You get carriages without a fee, and this area is very well-lit and safe. Should you have any issues at all with your bag, please contact your airline immediately. You should be reunited with your bag soon and will be able to proceed to your next destination or continue on to your next Gulf Air (or other) flight.

Arrival & Baggage Claim Procedures

Below are instructions for arriving at Atlanta International Airport & the baggage claim process.

Domestic Arrival 

Here’s how you get things done on domestic arrival:

• On arriving with your let’s say, KLM Airlines flight, follow the signs for Baggage Claim/Arrivals/Exit after you have landed. 
• Get off the aircraft & go to the plane train. You need it to get to the Domestic Terminal.
• Once you leave the secure area, you will need to proceed to the lower level.
• To locate your baggage carousel, check the flight information screen for both your flight number & your baggage claim Atlanta Airport carousel number.
• When you arrive at the correct carousel, wait for your suitcase to arrive.

International Arrivals

For passengers arriving at Concourse F or some at Concourse E, check out the pointers below:

• When your plane arrives, look for signs pointing towards Immigration/Passport Control/U.S. Customs. It will help you to track down the proper place of entry once you land.
• Present your passport & customs declaration at the U.S. Immigration counter.
• You will get directed to the baggage claim section after collecting your checked luggage.
• Check the screens for your flight number & the correct area where you can recover your checked luggage from a fixed carousel.
• After getting all your bags, pass through U.S. Customs.
• Once you get sorted with that, you will enter the International Terminal Arrivals Hall. 

ATL Airport Smarte Carte Luggage Carts

You can find the self-service smart carts throughout ATL if traveling with checked or heavy baggage.

• Location– Carts are located within the baggage claim area, neighboring the carousels, exits, and within parking facilities. These carts are available in dispensers and at a kiosk 24 hours a day.
• Cost– Carts usually cost around $6 to use. Some locations may charge as much as about $9 for cart rental, but $6 is generally accepted as the standard rental fee. You may also receive a small refund for returning the cart to an appropriate return location.

How to Use– Insert your payment, as shown by the instructions above, to release the rental cart.
